We had an Earth Day snack at our house that we shared, just like how we have to share our planet. After some thought about how on earth (hee hee, earth) I was going to make our planet, I settled on yogurt and kiwi. I used blue food coloring in vanilla yogurt. I attempted to make continents out of kiwi. They ended up very abstract :) It turns out carving kiwi is not the easiest, but the bright colors sure look pretty!
I made people of all colors surrounding our home we share with a small gingerbread cookie cutter. I used ham, turkey, cheese, and two different kinds of wheat bread.
1 EARTH 1 HEART is written with food safe markers. It washes right off of the plate. When I was doing this I realized that earth and heart contain all the same letters. I never knew that before. Hmmm.
The girls gobbled it right up!
