Teacher Appreciation Lunch

It is National Teacher Appreciation Week.  Don't worry if you forgot.  There is plenty of time left.  It is only Monday.  Consider this your reminder.  I decided that it would be fun for my daughter to bring her teacher a lunch.  Her 3rd grade teacher is fantastical!  She deserves much more, like a million dollars, but I'm fresh out of that :)

I wanted to make her something an adult would like to eat, but I wanted to use our fun bento supplies too.  I told her teacher I would try to remember to wash my hands and not lick the spoon.  I did my best.  This is what I came up with.

Watermelon balls are in a flower silicone muffin cup.  Broccoli and cauliflower are in the pink muffin cup below it.  The large compartment contains ranch dip in the rainbow, crackers, and a CHICKEN BACON AVOCADO WRAP.  Yum right?!  I hope she likes it!  I used food markers to write a note right on the tortilla ~ Wrapping up 3rd grade ~ Wrapping..get it.  I know, lame. :)  This is what the inside of the wrap looks like.

On top of the tortilla are spinach leaves, roasted chicken breast, crumbled bacon, cubed avocado, and sliced cherry tomatoes.  I am still debating about a dressing.  Maybe I will let her add her own if she wants.

I would have made my daughter a matching lunch but she hates tortillas.  She says they feel weird in her mouth.  The things I deal with.

So, she got a build your own sandwich lunch.  I cut '3rd' using cookie cutters and threw in some of the roasted chicken and spinach.  She also has broccoli and cauliflower along with some kiwi.

DON'T FORGET TO TELL THE TEACHERS IN YOUR CHILD'S LIFE HOW MUCH YOU APPRECIATE THEM!  Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Here is what I used to make this lunch.
