Jump in the water is warm! Today's lunch is a day at the beach. The sunny swimming scene in the large compartment of this EasyLunchboxes 3-compartment Bento Lunch Box Container is made with bread, cheese, turkey, couscous, and Starburts.
I used cutters to make all of the shapes and then I assembled them together. The blue water is couscous with a drop of blue food coloring. The surf board is created out of Starbursts. I took three colors, mushed them together in a ball, and then flattened it out making a swirly pattern. Next, I cut a surf board shape out. I usually NEVER put candy in a lunch, but it is the first day of summer and I couldn't resist the treat.
There are baby carrots in the fishy silicone container and grapes on picks in the final compartment. Here are my girls having their own splishy splashy summer.
Don't miss all of the summer fun! My friends and I are having a SUMMER BENTO BLOG HOP. Just click of the picture of the flip flops and hop around. There will be lots of great fun in the sun food ideas. Up next is Veggie Bento.
This is what I used to make this lunch:
